Originally an IT project aimed at building a world-class fibre optic network to connect critical institutions in our region, CW-E has grown to spearhead key initiatives aligned with the Six Indicators of Intelligent Communities.

Our organization's adaptability to innovation has enabled us to navigate a  changing stakeholder network. Through collaboration and a commitment to excellence, we have significantly increased high-quality connectivity access to hundreds of locations, strengthened security requirements to protect students, and reinforced service with redundant connections wherever possible.

Our keen understanding of evolving needs and uncompromising support of cutting-edge technologies positioned us to attract investments that provide quality high-speed connectivity not only for ourselves but also for the tens of thousands of businesses and residents in the Windsor-Essex region.

Key Initiatives:

  • Knowledge Sharing

  • Network Expansion, Resiliency and Redundancy

  • Cybersecurity Awareness

  • Technovation
